Record from your microphone and transcribe it
Record in the browser with pause, resume and playback, then transcribe the recording with timestamps and speaker labels. Consent is confirmed before processing.
Availability depends on the configured speech provider.
Guest preview: up to 50 MB and 10m. Results are kept for a limited time unless you create an account.
Use the Record tab to capture a meeting, lecture or dictation directly in your browser. You see the level meter and elapsed time while recording, can pause and resume, and listen back before deciding to transcribe.

Frequently asked questions
Which browsers support recording?
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. If your browser lacks the recording API, the page tells you and offers file upload instead.
Is this live captioning?
No. The recording is transcribed after you stop it. Streaming captions are a separate capability that is not offered on this page.
What happens if the tab closes while recording?
The recording is lost unless you had already stopped and uploaded it. Keep the tab open and in the foreground while recording.
