Retention periods

  • Guest previews: media, transcript and preview are deleted automatically after the retention period shown on the preview page (configured per deployment) unless claimed by an account.
  • Workspace content: kept until you delete it, your workspace is deleted, or a plan-specific retention policy applies and is shown in your settings.
  • Exports: download links expire after a short period and a new export can be requested at any time. The stored export file is kept with the project and deleted with it.
  • Media clips: kept with the project until you delete the clip or the project.
  • Raw provider responses: kept as access-controlled audit artifacts alongside the transcript and deleted with it.
  • Security and audit logs: hashed identifiers only, kept for abuse investigation and account security. An automatic retention period for these logs has not been set yet; this page will state it once it is.

How deletion works

Deleting a project marks it deleted immediately and queues a hard delete that removes the original media, extracted audio, transcript, words, previews, exports, media clips, snapshots, highlights notes and search index entries. Deletion jobs run continuously and are retried until they succeed.

Backups and providers

Database and storage backups may retain copies for the backup window configured for the deployment, after which they roll off. Processing providers may retain data for the periods stated in their terms; the subprocessor page lists them. We do not claim deletion from provider systems beyond what their terms provide.
