Private transcription you control

Transcribe sensitive recordings in a private workspace with signed access links, deletion you can verify and no public buckets. Cloud-processed, clearly disclosed.

Want processing on your own device?

This page uses cloud processing. On-device mode runs speech recognition in your browser instead, and your file is never uploaded. Try on-device transcription

Transcribe a local file

Drag and drop an audio or video file here (up to 50 MB)

MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC, MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV

Availability depends on the configured speech provider.

Guest preview: up to 50 MB and 10m. Results are kept for a limited time unless you create an account.

VoqText is a cloud service. Your media is uploaded to private object storage, processed by the configured speech provider, and never exposed through public links. Access uses short-lived signed URLs, and every workspace is isolated from every other.

We do not claim on-device or offline processing. If a future local-only mode ships, it will be a separately labeled feature; until then, this page describes the controls that exist today.

What you get

  • Workspace-isolated storage and transcripts
  • Short-lived signed links for playback and downloads
  • Delete a project and its media, transcript and derived files are removed
  • An AI processing disclosure that names active providers

Who it is for

  • Consultants handling client recordings under confidentiality agreements
  • HR and people teams working with sensitive conversations
  • Anyone who wants a clear answer to “who can see this?”

Frequently asked questions

Is the processing done on my device?

No. Speech recognition runs on the configured cloud provider. We say this plainly rather than labeling cloud processing as “local”.

Who can access my recordings?

Only members of your workspace. Guest previews are tied to the browser session that created them and expire automatically.

Can I delete everything?

Yes. Deleting a project queues removal of the media, derived audio, transcript, exports and search index entries. Backup and provider retention windows are described in the data retention policy.
